Mr. Splashypants meets the Fiesta

That’s my boat. Or, that's one of my boats. I traded some consulting work for a trailerful of racing shells to fill out my daughter’s crew team fleet. I kept Mr. Splashypants, a legend at Community Rowing here in Boston.

Mr. Splashypants is 27' long and 14" wide. It's like rowing a pencil. Driving it on the Fiesta is terrifying.

The first few times out, I tipped so many times that my friend Pat ran home to get his fishing boat, and he followed me around the lake to make sure I wouldn’t drown. I’m lucky to have a friend like Pat.
